About Todos Santos: “Pueblo Mágico” |
There’s plenty to do and see in and around Todos Santos before and after the Film Festival.
Todos Santos is on the Pacific coast of Southern Baja California, about 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of Cabo San Lucas.
It’s also about the same distance, 50 miles (80 km), to La Paz.
Thanks to its unique combination of climate, architecture, history and location, Todos Santos is one of a handful of cities in Mexico designated as a “Pueblo Magico,” or “Magical Town.”
Todos Santos is a delightful green, palm-lined oasis in the desert. The town is famous for producing delicious mangos, papayas, avocados, chiles and tomatoes. It’s charming colonial-era streets are lined with thick-walled adobe buildings painted in bright colors.
In the center of town people gather in the shadow of a 300 year old mission and traditional plaza. On the plaza is the rejuvenated art-deco Marquez de Leon Theatre, built in 1944 and now restored to its former glory. It is here where viewers will enjoy the Todos Santos Festival Films.
Within easy walking distance in Todos Santos you can enjoy world-class cuisine, many artist’s studios and galleries, a museum, plus shops and boutiques.Quick Facts:
